Insectivorous plants are green plants that can photosynthesize . Then why do they feed on insects?

due to deficiency of nitrogen in their food synthesized during photosynthesis, they have no other option other than trapping, insects, which have abundant nitrogen.

Insectivorous plants are green plants so that they can photosynthesize and prepare their own food....

But they don't get efficient nitrogen as they grow in nitrogen deficient soil...

They feed on insect to fulfill their nitrogen deficiency....
