Insects undergo moulting.What is the reason for this?Mention the list of organisms which undergo moulting?

Insects, particularly arthropods undergo molting since they have an exoskeleton. This exoskeleton limits their growth, hence they have to moult and shed this.

SquareRoot256: Many organisms undergo moulting; all arthropods (those with joint legs) undergo moulting. Eg. Cockroaches, Spiders.

SquareRoot256: Some other organisms like Felines and Canines also shed their fur.
