Here, numerator and denominator are different which are in unlike terms to make them like terms terms take L.C.M for denominator.

L.C.M for denominator 2 and 8 is 8.

               $\frac{1}{2}$ × $\frac{4}{4}$ = $\frac{4}{8}$

               $\frac{5}{8}$ ×$\frac{1}{1}$ = $\frac{5}{8}$

Therefore, the denominators are same.

Find the rational numbers between $\frac{4}{8}$ and $\frac{5}{8}$ . There is no numbers between 4 and 5. So, multiply by 10 to get 6 rational numbers.

              $\frac{4}{8}$ × $\frac{10}{10}$ = $\frac{40}{80}$

              $\frac{5}{8}$ × $\frac{10}{10}$ = $\frac{50}{80}$

Now, find the rational numbers between $\frac{40}{80}$ and  $\frac{50}{80}$ .
