6 rational number between -2/3 and 3/4 are :

 \frac{ - 7}{12} , \frac{ - 6}{12} ,  \frac{ - 5}{12} , \frac{1}{12} ,  \frac{2}{12} ,  \frac{8}{12}

GIVEN

Fraction Numbers :

 -  \frac{2}{3}  \: and \:  \frac{3}{4}

TO FIND:

Rational numbers between the given numbersnumbersnumbersnumbers

SOLUTION:

Rational numbers are defined as any number that can be expressed as the ratio of two integers a and b as -

 \frac{a}{b} provided that b ≠ 0.

To find out the required number of rational numbers we need to make the given fraction into like fractions.

For that, we need to take out the L.C.M of the denominators

L.C.M of 3 and 4 = 12

we can also write the given fractions as -

  - \frac{2 }{3}  \times  \frac{4}{4}  =  -  \frac{8}{12}

 \frac{3}{4}  \times  \frac{3}{3}  =  \frac{9}{12}

Now, All the fractions between -8/12 and 9/12 will be the rational numbers between -2/3 and 3/4

Hence, 6 rational numbers  -2/3 and 3/4 are -

\frac{ - 7}{12} , \frac{ - 6}{12} ,  \frac{ - 5}{12} , \frac{1}{12} ,  \frac{2}{12} ,  \frac{8}{12}
