If we are to insert 10 arithmetic means between 5 and 27 it means that 27 is the 12th term of this AP.

Hence a+(n-1)d=27

5+(12-1)d=27

11d = 22

d=2

hence 2nd term of this AP =a+d =5+2=7

3rd term =a+2d =5+2×2=9

4th term =a+3d =5+3×2=11
