L.C.M of 8 and 12 = 24

3/8= 3/8 * 3/3 =9/24. and

7/12 = 7/12 * 2/2 = 14/24

3/8< 7/12

A rational numbe 3/8 and 7/12 is

1/2[3/8 + 7/12]

= 1/2 [ 9+14 /24 ] = 23/48

A rational number 3/8 and 23/48 is

1/2 [ 3/8 + 23/48 ]

= 1/2 [ 18 + 23 /48 ]

= 41/96

Thus , 3/5 < 41/96 < 23/48 < 5/6 Ans
