Answer:

There are infinite Rational numbers Between 1/3 and 5/9  , as we make these numbers equivalent the numbers of rational number between these two rational numbers .

Step-by-step explanation:

Step  1 :-  Equivalent of  1/3 and 5/9

L.C.M of 3 and 9 is 9 so ,

1/3 * 3/3 = 3/9

5/9 * 1/1 = 5/9

now there is only 1 rational number between 3/9 and 5/9 that is 4/9

therefore , we have to find the 2nd  Lowest common multiple of 3 and 9 that is 18 so,

1/3 * 6/6 = 6/18

5/9 * 2/2 = 10/18

now there are 3 rational numbers between 1/3 and 5/9 that is 7/18 , 8/18 ,9/18

therefore , we have to find 3rd lowest common multiple of 3 and 9 which is 27

1/3 * 9/9 = 9/27

5/9 * 3/3 = 15/ 27

there are 5 rational numbers between 1/3 and 5/9 that are 10/27 , 11/27 , 12/27 , 13/27 , and 14/27

now it's completed.
