1/4. and 1/2
= LCM of denominator 4 and 2=4
=1×1/4×1 and 1×2/2×2
=1/4 and 2/4
Now,
=1×10/4×10 and 2×10/4×10
=10/40 and 20/40

Therefore thus 6 rational number between 1/ 4 and 1/2 are 11/40, 12/40, 13/40, 14/40 ,15/40, 16/40.

Answer:

The six rational numbers \frac{1}{4}  and\ \frac{1}{2} are \frac{7}{24} , \frac{8}{24}, \frac{9}{24} ,\frac{10}{24},\frac{11}{24}  and\  \frac{11.1}{24} .

Step-by-step explanation:

Explanation:

Given, \frac{1}{4}  and\ \frac{1}{2} .

Rational number - Rational number, in arithmetic, a number that can be represented as the quotient \frac{p}{q} of two integers such that q ≠ 0.

Step 1:

We have, \frac{1}{4}  and\ \frac{1}{2} .

So, first we need to make the denominator the same,

Therefore, \frac{1}{4} ×\frac{6}{6}  = \frac{6}{24}and \frac{1}{2} ×\frac{12}{12}  = \frac{12}{24}

So, the rational number between \frac{6}{24} and \frac{12}{24} are,

\frac{7}{24} , \frac{8}{24}, \frac{9}{24} ,\frac{10}{24},\frac{11}{24}  and\  \frac{11.1}{24}

Final answer:

Hence, the rational numbers \frac{1}{4}  and\ \frac{1}{2} are \frac{7}{24} , \frac{8}{24}, \frac{9}{24} ,\frac{10}{24},\frac{11}{24}  and\  \frac{11.1}{24} .
