Answer:

First we will make it equaivalent fraction

-4/5 x 3/3= -12/15

-2/3 x 5/5= -10/15

now we will multiply both the fractions by 5+1 as we require five rational no.s

so, we will get

-12/15 x 6/6= -72/90

-10/15 x 6/6= -60/90

five rational numbers between are -63/90; -64/90; -65/90; -66/90; -70/90

To find : 6 rational numbers between \frac{-4}{5}  and \frac{-7}{15} .

Solution:

  • According question we have to find rational numbers between  \frac{-4}{5}  and \frac{-7}{15}  for this we need to equalize denominators of the rational numbers by taking LCM.
  • Therefore, LCM =  15
  • Now, multiplying numerators by same numbers as multiplied by denominator to make LCM .
  • We get,\frac{-4}{5}=\frac{-4 \times 3}{15}=\frac{-12}{15}$ and $\frac{-7}{15}=\frac{-7 \times 1}{15}=\frac{-7}{15}
  • Now, we can find rational numbers between\frac{-12}{15} and \frac{-7}{15}
  • They are :  \frac{-8}{15}, \frac{-9}{15}, \frac{-10}{15}, \frac{-11}{15}

Hence, 6  rational numbers between are \frac{-4}{5}  and \frac{-7}{15} are \frac{-8}{15}, \frac{-9}{15}, \frac{-10}{15}, \frac{-11}{15} .
