To find :

Three rational numbers lying between \bf \dfrac{-1}{2} & \bf \dfrac{-3}{4}

  • Firstly make the denominator same.

LCM of 2 and 4 is 4.

 \to \bf \dfrac{-1}{2}

 \to \bf \dfrac{-1 \times 2}{2 \times 2}

 \to \bf \red{\dfrac{-2}{4}}

And,

 \to \bf \dfrac{-3}{4}

 \to \bf \dfrac{-3 \times 1}{4 \times 1}

 \to \bf \red {\dfrac{-3}{4}}

  • Multiply the numerator & denominator of both fractions with 100.

 \to \bf \dfrac{-2 \times 1}{4 \times 1}

\bf \dfrac{-2 \times 100 }{4 \times 100 }

\bf \dfrac{-200 }{400 }

And,

 \to \bf \dfrac{-3 \times 1}{4 \times 1}

\bf \dfrac{-3 \times 100 }{4 \times 100 }

\bf \dfrac{-300 }{400 }

3 Rational number between,

\bf \dfrac{-3 }{4 } & \bf \dfrac{-2}{4 }

\bf \dfrac{-201 }{400 }

\bf \dfrac{-202 }{400 }

\bf \dfrac{-203 }{400 }
