intestivorous plants are those plants which depends on insects for their living. There can be many reasons why they depend on insects like absences of chorophyll. so, they engulf insects present in their surrounding ( come in contact with plants) and their digestive enxymes helps in digestion of insect(s). eg- hydra

Several plants consume some insects because:-
1) Most of them lack in several nutrients which they need,whom they fulfil by consuming insects.
2) They lack chlorophyll content in them by which day can't produce food.
