Inside the clouds, everything was suddenly black. It was impossible to see anything outside the plane. The old aeroplane jumped and twisted in the air. I looked at the compass. I couldn’t believe my eyes : The compass was turning round and round and round. It was dead. It would not work.

Answer: A. According to the passage, the weather was dark and stormy.

B. The instruments in the plane suddenly stopped working.

C. The pilot, despite seeing the dark clouds had decided to plunge in because he didn't want to miss the big english breakfast.
