Inspite of Aravalis many parts of Rajasthan do not receive much rain.

In spite of Aravallis, Rajasthan receive very less rainfall because : the Aravalli range of mountains lie parallel to the south west monsoon winds and doesn't really act as a barrier for the monsoon winds. This is one of the main reasons that Aravalli range isn't helpful in bringing rain to that region
