Instead of electricity what people use in early time

When there was no electricity people were unaware of it . At that time , people managed quite well without electricity becoz they didn't know anything at that time that what kind of things are going to be invented in future but in that era more time was spent in household chores and inconvenience and manual labour . All aspects of every day's life were nearly inconvenient. It would take a couple of hours to do a small and easy task . But nowadays it seems to be nearly impossible to live without electricity. Recently , a report stated that around 90℅ of people might die if there will be no electricity at all . I hope u find my answer quite useful and if yes then plz make me brainlist

instead of electricity people used  water energy or wind energy to do their work. also they used animals to help them out with their work.
