Instead of multiplying N, a two-digit number, by 3/4
and adding 38, a student multiplied the number
formed by reversing its digits with 473 and
subtracted 38 from the product and still got the
same result. Find the value of N given that the sum
of the digits of the number is 12.

48 is desired number.

48 × 3/4 + 38 = 74

84 × 4/3 - 38 = 74

The answer is 74.
