⏩Plastic is covered around the electric wires used at home in order to prevent direct contact with the electric wire.
⏩Plastic is an insulator, so it does not conduct the electricity present in the wire to the person who by mistake touches the wire.
⏩But if the electric wires will be covered with aluminium, which is a conductor, it won't prevent the the conduction of electricity from the wires to the person who touches it and hence will not prevent the direct contact with the electric wire.
✔️Therefore, we cannot use aluminium to cover the electric wires instead of plastic.

No As Aluminum is a good conductor of electricity, It can give electric shock to the person when touched if It is used as a cover for electric wires.
