Answer:

x = 1 , y = 3

Let 6x - 5y = -9 be equation (1) and 4x + 3y = 13 equation (2)

Let's find y first. So we have to make the coefficient of x equal i.e,

(1) × 4 => 24x - 20y = -36

(2) × 6 => 24x + 18y = 78

(2) - (1) =>

24x + 18y = 78 -

24x - 20y = -36

______________

0 + 38y = 114

y = 114÷38

y = 3

Giving value of y in equation (2)=>

24x + 18×3 = 78

24x + 54 = 78

24x = 78-54

24x = 24

x = 24 ÷ 24

x = 1
