Grate a couple of medium sized beetroots and soak them in a little water. After
a while, you will get a beautiful dark pink-red colour. Add it to a bucketful of water.
The red jaswand (hibiscus) flower will give you a deep red colour. Dry the petals
of Zendu (marigold). Then you can powder them to get an orange colour. Even
you can dry the leaves of neem, mint, corriander, spinach to get a dry green powder.
If you crush or grind the fresh leaves you get dry colours and if you add the paste
to water, you get wet colour. So talk to your mother to find out what other things
in kitchen can give you safe natural colour. Let's celebrate holi with natural colour.
