The people of Pakistan are proud of the history of their country. But in the past, they have not worked
to preserve their heritage. Now thing, have changed. We have begun to understand that we must look
after historical places & monuments(Lahore is one of the oldest cities in Pakistan & is famous for some
of the beautiful buildings throughout the world. The Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, Shalimar Garden
and the tombs of Jahangir and Noor Jehan were all built by the Mughals. The Government of Pakistan
has declared many historical buildings protected monuments. They are looked after by the department
of archeology. It has started to work to save them from decay.
