The 'Letter from Birmingham jail' by 'Martin Luther King' was quite effective.
Explanation:
Martin Luther King uses a diction that is powerful and effective. It highly convinces the clergymen, who said that he was acting unwisely.
In his letter, he urges the blacks to fight for their freedom against the British. He said that God would be happy only if we respect our human rights and fight for all the people around the world who are facing injustice. The letter touched people's hearts.
He even justified his idea of fighting for justice through non-violence. He gave example of Mahatma Gandhi's strategy of non-violence by which India got freedom from Britishers.
He used metaphors and rhetorical questions which have a huge influence on the people and makes them believe that the racial discrimination should end.
