Instruments like types of hydrometer such a lactometer, saccharometer and vehicles like ship and submarine obeys Archimedes principle.

Explanation:

Archimedes principle states that the “upward buoyant force” that is fully or partially in a fluid is equal to the amount of the fluid dispersed by the body. According to this principle the force is acting in the upward direction to the centre of the mass of the object.

The meaning of this principle is if we submerge an object partially or fully in a fluid, the buoyant force, which is the upward thursting force given by the fluid and acting on the object, will lead to displacing of some amount of fluid. The amount of fluid displaced while submerging an object partially or fully in that fluid will be equal to the ‘weight of the object’ immersed in the fluid. Thus the weight of the unknown object can be measured by measuring the amount or weight of the fluid displaced during immersing.

The instruments like hydrometer works on the Archimedes principle. The vehicles like ship and submarine also obey Archimedes principle. The ‘hydrometer’ is used to find the purity of any fluid by measuring their density using buoyancy force. There are different types if hydrometer for measuring different fluids like lactometer to verify the purity of milk or density of milk, saccharometer to measure the ‘density of sugar’ in a liquid etc.
