Instruments like drum are struck to make a sound. is the sound produced by the top surface (the membrane) only? pls answer

Explanation:

The sound get produced when any object starts to vibrate same thing happens on a drum . When you strike the top surface of a drum then energy is created on it after the drum gets the energy due to which starts to vibrate. And then the Vibrations get converted into Sound.

For eg.

1) If you have beaten on the top surface of a drum by holding it, you may have observed that.

2) Even the Vibrations get converted into Sound in the bell, when it is struck.

3) You can observe in a utensils.

4) And also you can observe in a metals, the conversion of Vibration into Sound.
