Integer is A whole number (not a fractional number) that can be positive, negative, or zero. Examples of integers are: -5, 1, 5, 8, 97, and 3,043. Examples of numbers that are not integersare: -1.43, 1 3/4, 3.14, .09, and 5,643.1.

What are Integers?

The set of numbers which includes real numbers, natural numbers, whole numbers are known as 'Integers'. Integers includes both the positive and negative numbers. In integers on the number line before zero at the last side there are negative numbers located whereas on right side after zero there are positive integers located.

As we know the number zero is neither positive not negative but zero is the mid point of postive and negative integers on the number line. Similarly like whole numbers integers doesn't contain fractional part whereas there's no decimal point. In integers there is no starting point that's starting number nor the ending point number, it is because there are indefinitely numbers on both negative and positive sides.

Example:-

Positive:- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, etc.

Negative:- -1, -2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -7, -8, -9, -10, etc.

Neither positive nor negative:- Zero (0).
