The point A is on a mountain which is 5700 metres above sea level and the point B is in a
mine which is 39600 metres below sea level. Find the vertical distance between A and B.​

Height of the mountain above sea level = 5700m

Depth of the mine below sea level = 39600m

Vertical distance between them = 5700 - (-39600)

                                                      = 5700 + 39600

                                                      = 45300m

thus , vertical distance between them is 45300m
