Given: ( 1/5+4cos x)

To find: integration of ( 1/5+4cos x)dx

Solution:

  • To integrate the equation, we need to split this in two parts:
  • Let the first part be 1/5 dx and second part be 4cos x dx
  • So now lets integrate these terms:

               ∫(1/5 + 4cos x) dx

               = ∫1/5 dx + ∫4 cos x dx

  • Integration of 1/5 is 1/5(x)

              = 1/5(x) + 4∫cos x dx           ...........(taking 4 as constant)

  • Integration of cos x is sin x, we get:

              = x/5 + 4(sin x)

  • Now, adding a constant c in the final answer, we get:

                 = x/5 + 4 sin x + c

Answer:

       = x/5 + 4 sin x + c
