Step by Step Solution :

We have to find the integration of :

dx/(ax+b) .... (1)

As we know that :

Integration of dx/x = logx

Let, ax+b = t

On differentiate with respect to 't' both the side : adx = dt => dx = dt/a

On putting the value of 'dx' in equation (1) :

dt/a.t [ because ax+b = t ]

1/a × dt/t

=> 1/a × integration of dt/t

=> 1/a×logt

=> 1/a log(ax+b)
