When India became a sovereign country it had a challenge in the very beginning. India was divided in Provinces and Princely States by the British. The Princely states like Jammu n Kashmir and Hyderabad were free to join any country or rule as sovereign countries so I miss had to unite all the states in India again. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Was The biggest personality who took the task to bring back the states. Hyderabad and Junagadh were reunited but the case of Jammu n Kashmir is controversial till now.
