let age of mother be 'x' years

and the age of son be ' y' years

from first condition,

x + y = 52 ..........(1 )

from second condition,

x - y = 28 ..........(2)

add (1 ) and ( 2 )

x + y = 52

x - y = 28

x = 40

y = 40 -28

= 12

age of son after 2 year hence will be 12 + 2= 14 years
