Explanation:

There are four natural states of matter: Solids, liquids, gases and plasma. The fifth state is the man-made Bose-Einstein condensates. In a solid, particles are packed tightly together so they don't move much.

Answer:

The three forms of water are solid, liquid and gaseous state. These three states of water can be changed from one form to another.

If ice (solid) is heated, it changes to water (liquid). This change is called melting. If water (liquid) is frozen at a particular temperature, it changes back to ice (solid). This change is called freezing.

Similarly, if water (liquid) is boiled at a specific temperature, it changes to water vapour (gas). This change is called vaporisation. If water vapour (gas) comes in contact with cold surfaces, it changes back to water (liquid). This change is called condensation.

When snow (solid) changes to water vapour (gas) directly without melting into water (liquid), this change is called sublimation. When water vapour (gas) changes to ice (solid) such as snowflakes, this change is called deposition.
