in cash book of brs it should be recorded in -ve side.

if we receive interest on bank a/c,our bank balance will increase.then we will write the journal entry as,

                                                                               bank a/c       dr

                                                                                           interest a/c

so the bank wiil DEBIT interest a/c in bank a/c,ie our account
