Intermediate goods are those which goods use to make products for example thread from which clothes are made so in this, thread is intermediate good and clothes are final good if they are purchased for self consumption but if they are purchased for further selling then it act as intermediate good. So basically it depends on use of goods.
Maintenance of office building and improvement of machine in a factory be treated as final goods because these are used for investment.
