HEY FOLK...
Since H2S has 3 molecules , it could be linear but it is not , and PCl3 has 3 atoms, it could also be planer but it is also not,
A common reason can be given for both i.e.repulsion between lone pairs or between lone pair and atom.
→ In first case in H2S , SULPHUR has two adjacent lone pairs which repel each other and result in non-linear shape.
→Same in PCl3, phorphorus has one lone which is repled by lone pairs of chlorine , results in non-planer shape of PCl3.
