Britishers acted poorly to the law and order situation took place in Amritsar in March 1947 as they refused to take charge and were hesitated to take any decision so they asked people to contact J. Nehru and Mahatma Gandhiji so that they can take powers in hand but at last after all the riots and appeal from help Indian Army and policemen came together to take powers in their hand and acted as Muslims, Hindus or Sikhs.
