interstate conflict occurs due to 2 reasons
1.construction of dams
2.water distribution for each state
if a state wants to create a dam,the other state would object as it may reduce the required water of their state
ex:-Karnataka state wants to create Mekedathu
dam,but Tamilnadu opposes as it may reduce their water availability.
