Answer:
hi
Explanation:
There are two turning points in my life which changed my way of living and my life as a whole.
I had a great aversion to Maths till class 8. I scored 17/50 in half-yearly exam but didn't dare tell my parents my marks but destiny wanted something else. My friend came to my house all of a sudden and told my parents my marks in Maths and Dad then and there took my calculator (I used to use it for even a simple calculation) back and asked me to solve those mathematical conundrums manually. I worked hard on this, joined coaching classes (Thanx to my mumma's friend who cleared my concepts and taught me from the very beginning the conventional methods to solve problems) for a couple of years, started giving the maximum time to Maths, made many mistakes but at the end of 12th I finally turned my weakness into my strong area. And I finally ended up with 95/100 in Maths in HSC. When I took CAT in 2016, although couldn't clear it but got 98%ile in Quant (All because of my tutors and my hard work which I did during 10th and 12th education). Back then I would call my friend names when he came to my house and told my marks but today I thank him for the same. And today my college friends, my teachers, my office colleagues appreciate me for being exemplary in Mathematics.
Second turning point came during my college days (Engineering, 2nd year).
I had a great aversion to English as well. I would score marks in 50s in SSC $ HSC when my peers scored in 80s $ 90s. I couldn't understand various characters in stories, couldn't understand what authors wanted to say. My mother did send me for tution to my cousin sis (who is good enough in it) but luck didn't work here like it did in Maths. Having ended up with low marks in school life I joined college for my graduation. 2nd year played a role of protagonist in my life when I decided to join a coaching class for spoken english (Thanx to my college peers whom I found good enough in English and found myself novice). After an effort of 3 months, I began to speak fluently in English and got appreciations from my friends. I started conversing in english, wrote an article which got published in TOI, started reading newspapers, began listening to British/US people to understand their accent which therefore helped me a lot. Today, I feel more confident, understand accent from different regions of world, can speak fluently with anybody without any hesitation, write stories/articles, prefer listening to news in english, understand cricket/WWE commentry which people find difficult to decipher and read a lot.
On top of that, I thank my mother from the bottom of my heart who did everything from her side to improve my skills in these 2 areas. It's well said that nobody can understand you better than your mother and this was the case with me also. Today I would like to tell all the parents over here not to send your children to coaching classes at a very early age, you should teach them instead which will not only give you an opportunity to know the weak side of theirs but your kids too will learn things in an easy way. Parents are the best teachers in kids' lives.
