intracellular spaces are absent in cells of sclerenchyma tissue because they are s
dead cells and do not perform life functions.they just provide turgidity to the cell.also the cell walls are very thick so no intracellular space is there.....hope it helps u

often these walls are so thick that their is no intercellular space left.....
