Explanation:
- Akbar constructed a new capital at 'Fatehpur Sikri' which was the birthplace of Salim Christi. Akbar had a secular outlook. He invited 'scholars from all religions' for discussions in the 'Ibadat Khana'.
- He abolished 'jizya', a pilgrim tax. In 1582, he started a new religion called 'Din-e-Ilahi or divine faith' which consisted of all good points of other religions. 'Akbar' showed religious tolerance and 'won over Rajput rulers' through 'marriage alliances and grants'.
