Intriguing question. Let me try to answer this as best I can.

I think everything is connected: mind, body, spirit, emotions. And so our thoughts (cognition), our spiritual body (energy/aura) and our physical body are all one. (Emotions too.)

The relationship between them is tenfold.

Examples of this would be: Have you ever been in a mall full of people and felt overwhelmed? You felt anxious, like you wanted to leave or like you were feeling the stress of others? Maybe you started feeling unwell, got a headache or something. That is our energy body (spirit) tied to our physical, emotional and mental bodies.

If we are sensitive energetically and we feel/sense the energy of others (several hundreds or thousands at once) it sends us into energy overdrive. Then our mind and body go into fight or flight mode (anxiety, headaches, wanting to run, etc. or we feel mentally emotionally like things are caving in on us.) This is the body as a whole, reacting together.

When you add in social development it is more about what you were taught and how you interact with the world - regarding how you perceive, experience or label this all happening. So with this respect, everyone might perceive or explain the same situation differently.

One might think being around all of those people is fine and they are comfortable, while someone else feels like “get all of these people away from me now”. Everyone is different, but the relationship between our mind, body, spirit(energy) and emotions are all one.

This is why depression (which is mind) is also emotion. But depression can carry physical symptoms. Energetically, a person might feel drained like someone sucked the life out of them, or maybe they feel heavy energy wise and this leads to more fatigue, etc.

Everything is connected and the relationship can be seen everywhere.

Social development, and how we understand, perceive, label, etc. is what makes us all different. We can explain things differently than others, we perceive things differently, etc. because we are different and/or we were raised different. It is one of the coolest things about being individuals. There is so much we can learn from each other. So many perspectives.

I hope that answers your question. If not, please reach out. I am happy to give it another go. :)

Answer:

Physiological, cognitive (psychological), spiritual and social development, and the relationship between them are used to understand thoughts, feelings and behaviors. That's about as succinct as one can get.
