Most metropolitan areas in Asia have very large environment and sound air pollution due to transport automobiles especially petrol/diesel-powered three-wheelers. A better and electric cycle rickshaw can provide a non-polluting and very hushed transportation system for metropolitan and outlying areas of India. It may supply large-scale work to millions of metropolitan and outlying bad. NARI features for that reason developed 2 kinds of rickshaws; a) enhanced pedal cycle rickshaw (IMPRA) and b) Motor assisted pedal rickshaw (MAPRA). The important points of these rickshaws are given in this report. Its shown why these rickshaws can provide a secure, eco-friendly, energy conserving and cost-effective transportation system in towns and cities and towns of Asia. Commercialization, technology, social and policy dilemmas tend to be talked about for large-scale introduction of those rickshaws.
