She is mother because katy said her FATHER has only one DAUGHTER i.e. Katy. so she is mother of mary.

I think option B is correct.(MOTHER)



If Katy's Father has only one daughter it's obvious that it's Katy herself and that's actually a hint for the answer.The only daughter of Katy's Father is Katy herself
