Solar light :

Ray of light from sun or sunlight;

Solar water heating system:

*Solar energy is collected by collectors;

*Collector is made of insulated box with copper wires;

*Used for heating water;

Solar Cookers :

*Used to cook food;

*It is of two types , that is, Box type and Reflector type;

Box type solar cooker :

* Cuboidal (wooden) box lined with thermocol or glass wool (or any other heat insulating material);

*Inner walls are black as black is a good absorber of radiant energy and also radiates as well;

* Plane mirror is attached on top of the box to focus the sunlight and adjusting its inclination ;

*The glass traps the heat and doesn't allow it to escape out;

Reflector Type :

*Sunlight is focused at the point where the food items are kept using concave reflectors;

*The focussed sunlight can go as 180 ° C and cooks the food;

*It is more effective than box type solar cooker.
