Air pollution is the addition of air pollutants such as particulate matter,gases and vapours into the atmosphere has an adverse effect on humans animals;vegetation and Human Assets.

It is of two types

1.Natural:(eg,forest fire,storm,dust)

2.Man made:(eg,vehicles,mining,stone crushing)

•Particulate air pollutants are also known as Suspended particulate matter or SPM ad they remain suspended in air for a good period of time.It contains smokes,fly ash and dust.

•Gases which cause air pollution are sulphur dioxide,carbon monoxide,hydrogen sulphide,nitrogen oxides,methane,chlorine and ammonia.
