INTRODUCTION TO COMMERCE

As a branch of production, Commerce involves exchange which is simply the process of buying and selling of raw materials to manufacturers and finished products from the factory to consumers. The distribution of these goods and services is concerned with the end products getting to the final consumer.  The aids/auxiliaries to trade assist the entire trade process by creating various forms of utility such as time utility, form utility, place utility, task utility and possession utility. These aids/auxiliaries include banking, insurance, transportation, communication, warehousing, tourism, advertising, etc.
