A quiz competition can be opened as any manner liked based on the seriousness of the quiz.
But basically as an introduction, quiz competition starts with introduction.
The host must first introduce him or herself first and then welcome everyone to the quiz.
Then the aim of the competition, awards and other important things are stated. competitors are intorduced and rules of the game is explained.
