mean (grouped data )
the ratio of sum of observations to no.of observations is called mean.
mean=sum of observations/no.of observations.
mean of 1st'n'natural numbers =n+1/2
therefore,s(n)=n(n+1)/2

Mean or arithmetic mean =
Sum of all observation
/
number of observation
It is just like average.
For eg of mean :-
6,15,20,12,18,16,13
mean ->
Sum of all observation
/
number of observation
Mean -> 6+15+20+12+18+16+13/7 = 100/7 = 14.28
so, mean is 14.28.
