Explanation:

It is true that introspection can improve your personality. Introspection is a thought provoking process where one examines his or her inner feelings and emotions, goals and objectives of life, attitude towards others etc. When a person spends time with himself then he might pick out his improvement points other than the feedback that he can take from others about his personality

Since this is an ASL topic, it is best to identify main points and then use them to communicate information.

1. Define what introspection is.

Introspection is the process of looking 'within' yourself. It means paying attention to one's own thoughts, habits, behaviour and so on, to get a better understanding of oneself.

2. When do people introspect?

People are generally too busy to introspect on a daily basis. Introspection usually happens when they face difficult situations, like when something has gone wrong, or they are extremely confused.

3. Why do people introspect?

When one introspects, the focus is on one's own self. One is able to analyse one's thoughts, actions, behaviour, desires and goals with a calm mind. This helps them understand cause and effect. For example, they are able to understand why $omone was hurt or what they should have done differently.

Once they have identified their shortcomings, they can work on them. It is only when $ome)ne is willing to look for faults within their own self, can they hope to work on it and improve themselves.

4. Give examples.

A few years ago, I found that many of my friends started keeping away from me. It was very upsetting. My mother asked me to introspect.  I played all the incidents in my mind and realised that my temperament (nature) had bec(0)me very unpredictable. I was joking at one moment, and agitated the next moment. This confused my friends and caused a lot of unpleasantness. They started avoiding me. On further introspection, I realised that I had been neglecting my studies and always had a lot of pending work to deal with, which was always bothering me.

Introspection made me realise where the fault was and how I had the power to fix it. The same applies to everyone else too. The first step towards improving your personality is to introspect, which will tell you what needs to be improved.
