Advantages of tissue culture:

  • It is "Asexual mode of Reproduction" as it is a 'fast technique' the plants obtain are disease free.
  • It can "grow round the year".
  • Its holds the fewer maintenance as it needs a very little space.

Dis-Advantages of tissue culture:

  • Chromosomal Abnormalities occurs.
  • It is not so common among animals because in this process a small piece of plant tissue or cell is removed from the growing tips of the plants in which holds suitable growth medium.

Usually, it is used in plants for increase the improvement of crops, but in animals it is helpful in developing vaccines. So, the tissue culture is not common among animals.
