Clock cycle: The amount of instruction that the CPU executes. There will be a time frame set for each process and the CPU cannot execute only one program and move to other programs only when the currently running program gets over.

It allocates a clock cycle to allot time interval for each process and this value keep changing according to the priority of the process.

Cache memory: This is a temporary memory which is very faster but it can store data only for a specific amount of time.
