Investigative Question: How does the concentration of potassium permanganate affect the rate of the reaction between potassium permanganate and hydrogen peroxide? 1.4. Explain as fully as you can why, in order to answer the investigative question, it is better. 1.4.1. To use a bigger number of different KMnO4 (aq) concentrations across a wider range (without multiple repetitions at each concentration); rather than to use smaller number of different of KMnO4 (aq) concentrations across a smaller range but carry out multiple repetitions at each concentration? 1.4.2. To make a stock solution of KMnO4 (aq) and dilute it to the concentration and need it for each concentration rather than measure out the amount of solid KMnO4 needed for each reaction and add water to that solid to make the required concentration. 1.4.3. To pour the KMnO4 (aq) solution into the peroxide / acid mixture all at once (avoiding splashing); rather that pouring it slowly.
