Greetings!
ABC360 Philippines Ltd. Co in partnership with City Parks and Environment Management Office (CEPMO) will hold a Tree Planting Event on June 30, 2016 at South Drive, Baguio City (near the Barangay Hall) from 7:30 am – 1:30 pm in celebration of Arbor Day.
Arbor Day (or Arbour; from the Latin arbor, meaning tree) is a holiday in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant and care for trees. It is observed in 40 countries worldwide including United States, United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, and Japan.
In the Philippines, it has been institutionalized to be observed every June 25 by planting trees and ornamental plants and other forms of relevant activities. As we participate and contribute to a greener, healthier, and more beautiful environment, ABC360’s Tree Planting Event has adapted the theme: “150 Pine Trees for our Beloved Baguio” which aims to:
Uplift the quality of our living environment through active planting, proper maintenance and preservation of pine trees.
Bring about improvements in the beautification of the city of Baguio.
Reduce greenhouse gasses and fight climate change and
Protect the city’s groundwater supplies.
Program details are as follows:
TIME ACTIVITY
7:00 am Meet at the Cooyeesan Hotel Entrance (after Pure Gold)
7:30 am Travel to the designated area
8:00 am Orientation, Set-up and Other Preparation Needed
9:00 am Planting Demo by CEPMO Officer
9:15 am Simultaneous Clearing and Planting of 150 pine seedlings
12 noon Lunch
1:00pm Continuation of Tree Planting (if needed)

Closing Remarks and Invitation for a Post-Tree Planting Activity
Awarding of Certificates Freebies to Volunteers/CEPMO Officer

2:00 pm Travel back to town/office
We are inviting a network of 30 volunteers for the tree planting event. Employees who would like to join the tree planting event and are not on duty on the said date, you may contact ABC360.Neri via skype no later than June 17, 2016.
Interested volunteers will have to fill out the Tree Planting Registration Form and undergo interview. Those who have experienced participating in tree planting activities in the past would be prioritized.
The Bring Your Own Equipment (BYOE) Policy for the tree planting event shall be observed.
Volunteers who can provide a visual documentation of the tree planting event through photos and videos and a write-up are also welcome.
Freebies and Certificate of Participation will be provided.
